The Client
As an industry leader in specialised pumping, treatment and storage systems, one of our clients in Western Australia has implemented a nation-wide remote monitoring system for their assets by utilising the Inhand IR915 Routers with OpenDevicePlatform
The Solution
After considering the requirements, we have recommended the IR915 series Industrial LTE Router with Python App Support.
The routers are installed together with the PLC controller, to provide:
- Real-time monitoring of PLCs through Modbus TCP
- Instant notification for alarms in PLC via SMS and/or emails
- Web Dashboard for overview of machine running status
Achievements
With the IR915 smart router, not only service engineers can access all operational data via their PLC software remotely but also get status reports and instant notifications via the Modbus App running on the Python Open Programming Platform built-in to the IR915 router.
The Modbus App works as a data acquisition module for Modbus data from Ethernet / Serial connected controllers, also it updates DeviceNetworks Platform to real-time operation status and actively sends out notifications for user-defined faults and alarms.
