AZZO has been rewarded the contract to deploy the Schneider PME platform to manage power usage for the end user – an University in Victoria. All the meters were scattered around the university campus, and what even more challenging is the fact that some of the old meters have could only communicate via serial RS485.
The IR611 router fitted with Telstra certified 3G modules was selected to provide back to base communication for this project, after undergoing extensive testing.
In this project, the IR611 router collects readings from different generations of Schneider meters, then transmit the information via AZZO’s corperate WAN network (hosted by Telstra) to allow real-time power monitoring and management.
